(Yoosuf) 12 : 46
"Oh Yoosuf, the man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven lean cows, and seven green ears of grains and seven withered ears so that I may return to the people and let them know".
The former companion of prison addressed: "Oh Yoosuf, the man of truth" means that he was attracted by the noble character of Yoosuf. It is told in verses 39: 33-35: "The one who received the Truth and who testified It, those are heedful. For them have whatever they wish near their Lord; that is the reward for Muhsins, so that Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do". See explanation 1: 6 and 4: 66-70.
